Designated cardioid subwoofer for C LINE / P LINE system integration Despite its small frame size, P WKreproduces the lowest frequencies in an impressively dry, clean, powerful and directed way. This is achieved by two separated vented chambers, each with a 15” speaker of the highest quality and power capacity. What makes the P WK very special is the enormous power handling capacity of 2,600Wrms achieved by 2x15” long-excursion woofers with 100mm voice coil and rib-reinforced membrane, as well as their arrangement in push-pull operation. Three different operating modes enable an effective cardioid radiation, conventional parallel connection or reproduction of two stereo basses in only a single cabinet. The designated controlled amplifier KS AUDIOTA2D provides the required performance, response correction and safe protection for the speaker. With the appropriate controller setting, a perfect cardioid radiation is achieved over a wide frequency range. In P WK mono mode with stereo crossover configuration, low-frequency signals of stereo channels are added on both outputs and then delayed and phase-corrected in such a way that up to four (!) P WK can be operated as cardioid sub. The format of the P WK makes it particularly suitable for applications where little room is available on the stage, and especially where it is supposed to be flown in combination with a P LINE or C LINE array. Alternatively a distance rod with an M20 thread can be used. Four big transport wheels are mounted on the rear side. The solid protective grille covers the entire front and optionally, is covered with acoustic foam, which makes it almost “invisible”. On the back it is firmly embedded in the cover of the speaker chamber to protect the speaker. The flyware can be integrated completely.
